Launched in 2014, The Ordinary Co started out as an online shop providing a wide range of affordable and trendy fashion jewelry. It has since evolved over the years with the launch of A Little Less, it's demi-fine range, to tailor it's offerings to higher quality pieces for the modern, sophisticated woman who is searching for a fine balance between quality and value.

I launched my first jewelry store in 2006 when I was 15 and ecommerce in Singapore was still at its infancy, and since then I always aspired to run a business full time once I graduated from school. In my last year of university, the local fashion industry was just beginning to blossom. There were many clothes shops but not as many accessory stores, so I took it as a sign and started my second venture , The Ordinary Co, while working. The business broke even in the first 3 months, after which I quit my job and have been running it ever since - which has been 6 whole years!
I was encouraged by the community team to join the Creators Market, which was my first venture into doing a pop-up for The Ordinary Co, after which I've grown in confidence and done pop-ups in the stores of international brands such a Fresh Beauty and diptyque. It's also been nice to have a beautiful space to have meetings with business partners - it does provide a sense of legitimacy when you have a small business.
I've always had an interest in photography as a child, which has led to me creating lifestyle content on my personal Instagram, @luxmondi. It started out as a hobby but has become a sort of second job which I am very appreciative of because I get to do what I enjoy, work with a wide variety of brands that I personally love as a consumer, but also get paid for it! Who doesn't want to get paid for their hobby?
